It's All In The Game Background

What once started out as a small memorabilia store concept has evolved  into a true one stop location for all of your baseball and softball  needs. The It's All In The Game Sports Center is the lifelong dream  of Dr. Dana Seltzer, a local orthopaedic sports medicine  physician/surgeon and former college baseball player. Dr. Seltzer has  decided to combine his hobby of 45 years with his career and create a  multifocal business dedicated to the sports enthusiast, with batting  cages, cafes, retail and sports memorabilia shops, sports  instruction, performance training, injury prevention, injury  assessment, and rehabilitation. The goal is to provide a facility that promotes family interaction, as well as providing top level instruction and facilities for serious players, looking to take their game to the next level.  We have created an environment that will allow for fun and the opportunity to learn and train properly, in order to advance your skills and playing abilities.

Our 40,000 square foot facility includes an orthopedic sports medicine office run by Dr. Dana Seltzer. Dr. Seltzer has been ranked by Castle & Connolly as one of the top orthopaedic surgeons in the country.  He currently is the chairman of orthopaedics and the director of orthopaedic trauma for St. Joseph's Hospital in Phoenix. He completed his sports medicine fellowship at the renowned Kerlan-Jobe Orthopaedic Clinic in Los Angeles, as well as completing an additional shoulder and elbow fellowship under Dr. Charles Rockwood in San Antonio, Texas. He has served as the medical director for many professional sports teams, including the Phoenix Coyotes, the Phoenix Roadrunners, the Phoenix Mustangs, the Phoenix Cobras, and the Arizona Thunder. He is currently the team physician for the Arizona Rattlers. He is joined in the building by one of the top physical therapy programs in the state, Physiotherapy Associates Physical Therapy. Physiotherapy Physical Therapy runs one of the premier sports performance programs in the country.

The Paradise Lane building contains six indoor state of the art batting cages, two indoor pitching lanes, one with a pitching tunnel, workout and performance training areas, plenty of great areas to watch events, the best memorabilia store in the state, a retail sporting goods store dedicated primarily to baseball and softball, and The Clubhouse (a subsidiary of the Game Day Café) for meeting space with drinks and lite fare. Outdoor facilities include a baseball infield and access to the Padres spring training fields. We will be partnering with Arizona Sunrays to provide gymnastics training as well. The facility is located on the grounds of the Peoria Sports Complex, spring training home for the San Diego Padres and the Seattle Mariners baseball clubs. This facility opened on April 2, 2012. Future plans include the addition of running lanes, clay pitching mounds,a rock climbing wall, two outdoor batting cages, and a softball infield

Our Rio Vista location is also open. This location features 7 outdoor batting cages, a bullpen area with a pitching lane and hitting stations, a Game Day Cafe, and a small retail shop with memorabilia, skate supplies, and sporting goods.
